PRE ADMISSION CLINICS:

The Hospital pre admission clinic has been established to prepare patients for up coming hospital admissions and surgery.
The clinics benefits include faster and easier admission. Your doctor will submit a pre-admission form to our pre-admission office.
A professional nursing sister at the pre-admission clinic will see you. Admission dates, medical aid plan and limits will be confirmed with your medical aid.
As well as complete details outlining the services available within the hospital.


Information in connection with medical condition, medical history, and planed surgery will be provided.
Information brochures: A number of brochures has been developed specific to medical / surgical conditions containing advice on heath care. As new brochures are developed they will be added.
Suggestions and complaints: Our aim is to provide you with the best care possible and we welcome comments and suggestions on how we can improve our service. You should also feel confident to make us aware of any aspect of service that concerns you.

All complaints are investigated and you will receive a response.

WHAT DO I DO WHEN I GET TO HOSPITAL:

Once at the hospital, you should enter via the main entrance and go to the main reception desk. At time of your admission we require you to sign a formal admission form and to confirm a few personal details such as contact information, medical aid numbers, authorization numbers and any health information details and your local doctors name. Then you'll be taken to your ward, where nurses will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

AdmissionWHAT ABOUT EMERGENCY ADMISSIONS:

If you have a medical emergency and are brought to Hospital you will be taken directly to the Casualty unit. Admission can be completed later or by a family member or friend. Medical aid card and identification will help the admission and authorization staff to confirm admission in hospital with the medical aid, and will be followed up by the case managers.
